Each year since 2002, residents from Oakland Grove, Larchmont Gardens, El Portal, Shorecrest, Belle Meade and beyond come together to travel out upon the Little River in small boats, canoes, paddleboards, and kayaks. From dawn until the sun is high in the sky, removing plastic and styrofoam from the banks and the bottom of the river, the task is enormous but the company is great.
